Heat index tops 100 as steamy temperatures and humidity settle in for Mid-South

·1 min read

Monday night will be partly cloudy skies with lows warm into the mid-70s.

Tuesday will be another hot day with highs into the mid-90s and heat index near 105°F.

Rain chances are slim with an afternoon pop-up shower and a thunderstorm possible.

Heat and humidity continue into Wednesday with more isolated showers possible.

Most of us will stay dry until Thursday as a cold front approaches the Mid-South.

Temps are slightly cooler Thursday with a 40% chance of rain and highs into the upper 80s and low 90s.

Cold front stalls out and does not clear the Mid-South as more rain is possible Friday.
