Rain at times Friday; many dry hours this weekend

Rain is easing Friday morning but there will be lingering spotty to very widely scattered showers that will continue through the afternoon and evening. Don’t let this cancel any of your plans. There will be many dry hours today. Just be prepared for some passing showers at times.

The temperature made it to 85° Thursday afternoon. That’s only 2° shy of the record for the date. Friday will be about 10° cooler with high temperatures topping out in the mid 70s.

Those spotty showers will continue this afternoon and evening but there will be a lot of dry time too. The Indians are at home tonight for a Fireworks Friday Night. While a stray shower could be in the area, there should be no problem getting the game in tonight.

Fog will develop tonight into Saturday morning. Prepare for reduced visibility in some spots as you’re heading to the Indy Mini-Marathon tomorrow. Temperatures will be comfortable for runners in the morning, starting in the low 60s and rising to the low 70s by the end of the race.

A few spotty showers are possible Saturday but most of the day is dry. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the upper 70s. A few showers are possible Sunday too and daily rain chances continue into next week. The more impactful rain and storm coverage comes Tuesday and Wednesday of next week with more of us seeing the rain with the chance for some strong to severe storms. Stay tuned!
