Rain to transition to snow for a sloppy morning

Meteorologist Ava Marie says to expect rain changing to snow this morning, accumulating a coating to 2 inches in the Baltimore Metro area before noon. Most of the snow accumulates between 7 a.m. – 10 a.m. This rapid snow accumulation will cover some roads, even if temperatures are above freezing, because roads crew were unable to pre-treat the roads due to the rain. It will be turning colder and breezy through the day, with temperatures dropping through the 30s. Watch for a refreeze on the roads, especially after 4 pm, as temperatures drop below freezing and we lose the daylight. Tonight will be very cold with lows in the teens.
