Rainbow Flag Raised Outside Everett City Hall For Pride Month

Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria attended a ribbon-cutting at the new LGBTQ+ Youth and Resource Center.

- We are here for this the city of Everett is celebrating the start of Pride Month with the raising of the rainbow flag outside of City Hall. Then, Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria attended a ribbon cutting for the new LGBTQ+ Youth and Resource Center, a place for young, gay people in the community.

CARLOS DEMARIA: As we raise the pride flag today, we are continuing to advocate for equal rights among everyone and that includes Everett's LGBTQ community. Let me be clear, all are welcomed and all are embraced in the city of Everett.

- The new Resource Center is at the former Pope John High School which closed back in 2019.
