Raising Cane's will soon open in Marlborough. Crew members are being sought

MARLBOROUGH Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers needs to build its local staff.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based fast-food chain, which previously confirmed that it would open its second Massachusetts store on Boston Post Road (Route 20) in mid-April, said in a press release that it is hiring more than 130 local crew members, with positions ranging from crew to management-level.

Starting pay for crew members is $16 per hour, "with the potential to quickly earn more," company officials said in the release. Raising Cane’s said it also offers community involvement, benefit programs and guaranteed flexible schedules for all crew members.

“It’s awesome to be bringing the Boston area’s second Raising Cane’s to a classic northeastern town like Marlborough,” said Restaurant Leader Ryan Caranci, in a prepared statement. “We’re excited to continue ingraining ourselves into the community, and welcome passionate people looking to work hard to join our awesome crew and help us spread our one love (chicken finger meals).”

Interviews are being held Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Walk-in candidates are also welcomed to drop in from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Boston Post Road location.

Chicken fingers are the only entree on the menu. Customers can choose different combo platters that feature chicken fingers, along with a number of side options including crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast and coleslaw.

All meals come with the signature Cane's dipping sauce.

Founded in 1996, Raising Cane's operates about 600 restaurants. The next-closest one to Boston is in Pennsylvania.
