Raising money (and raising spoons) at Ashland County Relay for Life chili cook-off

A good-sized crowd filled Mozelle Hall at the Ashland County Fairgrounds Friday evening for the chili cook-off and quarter paddle auction hosted by Relay for Life of Ashland County-Mid Ohio.

Those in attendance had the opportunity to taste 17 different chili creations made by the public and relay teams, and vote for the one they liked best. The cost was by donation and included the chili, salad and dessert.

The auction, which followed the chili tasting, featured 48 different gift baskets and items on which to bid. The gift baskets and items were put together by the various relay teams..
