This is the final showdown of Raleigh’s Burger Bracket. Vote for the city’s top burger!

The final showdown is set for the Raleigh Burger Bracket.

After three rounds, thousands of votes and 16 worthy burgers, there are two top cheeseburgers still standing.

Raleigh’s ultimate burger choice is between Fink Folk, a beloved smash burger-style ode to the Big Mac, and Neuse River Brewing’s European-inspired brasserie burger, with beer cheese and fried onions.

These two burgers have outlasted legends of Raleigh’s flattop griddles, with fans pulling off a 24-hour come-from-behind surge to top the wildly popular Cowbar and The Station burgers.

Just to recap, the News & Observer is seeking out Raleigh’s best burger. We started by narrowing the city’s burger-sphere down to 16 of Raleigh’s most popular local burgers. Some were icons, some were newbies, some smash burgers, some towering restaurant-style burgers served with a cloth napkin. All have made some contribution to Raleigh’s collective burger joy.

There are plenty of great burgers outside of Raleigh, and those burgers will have their day. This bracket is only for homegrown burgers in Raleigh, excluding some very popular and very tasty chain burgers that originated elsewhere.

The final round of the Raleigh Burger Bracket starts on Tuesday, Oct. 19, and will be open until noon Monday, Oct. 25. Vote today to pick your favorite from the grid below.
