New ramp closures, lane restrictions begin Friday on I-76/77 in Akron

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that on Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. the following lane restrictions and ramp closures affecting Interstate 76 West/Interstate 77 North will occur for pavement repairs:

• The highway over Lakeshore Boulevard and Bowery Street will be reduced to one lane.

• The ramp to Dart Avenue will be closed. The detour will be via Vernon Odom Boulevard to I-77 South.

• The ramp from I-76 West/I-77 North to the I-76/Kenmore Leg will be closed. The detour will be via Vernon Odom Boulevard to I-77 South.

• The ramp from Main Street to I-76 West will be closed. The detour will be Main Street to I-277 westbound to the I-76/Kenmore Leg northbound.
