Rams DE Michael Brockers hopes Seahawks trade Russell Wilson
The trade rumors surrounding Russell Wilson have been raging for some time now and show no signs of stopping anytime soon. The NFC West is projected to be the toughest division in the NFL once again, and some players in the division outside of Seattle would be relieved at the prospect of not having to face Wilson.
Los Angeles Rams defensive end Michael Brockers joined NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and expressed his hope that he will no longer have to deal with Wilson and his escapability twice a year, even if the latter is in his early 30s.
“You cross your fingers a little bit,” Brockers said. “You hope whatever you hear is true, and he’s out of here, so you don’t have to chase him around twice a year. For the most part, he’s a phenomenal player, but if he chooses to leave and leave the division and make it a bit little easier for us, man, to each his own.”
Even if Wilson stays, the Seahawks will face several threats of their own in their division, particularly in regards to pass rush. With Brockers, Leonard Floyd, and Aaron Donald in Los Angeles and the recent arrival of J.J. Watt in Arizona, Seattle must somehow upgrade their offensive line or they will have their quarterback running for his life even more frequently in 2021.
