Yahoo News Range Rover found stripped in the street after police respond to car theft call
A luxury Range Rover was discovered stripped of its parts by police responding to a 999 call.
Officers from Chelmsley Wood Police were called to a street in the Kingshurst area of Birmingham to reports of a car theft.
When they arrived on the scene officers found the vehicle missing its engine, doors and interior.
The force later tweeted a picture of what was left of the Range Rover showing it stripped back to its bare metal.

They also confirmed a person had been arrested for “theft of a motor vehicle”.
“Chelmsley officers responded to a 999 call about a possible stolen car in #Kingshurst and found this when they arrived!” the tweet read.

According to the Birmingham Mail, West Midlands Police has voiced concern over so called “chop shops” which sell stolen car parts.
West Midlands Police a ‘Shop a Chop Shop’ campaign last summer which, urging members of the public to report garages or units they believe could be taking stolen parts.
Vehicle crime has increased significantly in the last three years, driven by the demand for parts to repair write-offs sold as repairable by the insurance industry.
