Orlando rapper Jacquavius Smith, who goes by the stage name 9lokkNine, was arrested Friday on a weapons charge after police said they found him with a stolen Glock pistol.
Smith, whose stage name is pronounced “Glock Nine,” was arrested on the same charge Oct. 8, the same day he was targeted by 19-year-old Trey’von Graham in a shooting near the food court at The Mall at Millennia, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Police have linked Smith, 20, to an ongoing gang dispute in Orlando between the All Family No Friends and 438 groups.
An affidavit for his Oct. 30 arrest shows Smith was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for having illegally tinted windows.
The driver of the car told officers there was a gun in the vehicle and claimed to have bought it from a pawn shop. Officers checked the serial number of the pistol and found it had been reported stolen out of Orange County, records show.
The driver, who is not facing charges, then told officers the gun belonged to Smith. She said she picked Smith up after a domestic dispute and he brought the gun into her car. Once the two noticed police following them, the driver took the gun from Smith and stashed it under her seat, the affidavit said.
Smith was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail with revoked bond.
He is also facing charges of attempted second-degree murder with a firearm in a July 23 shooting at a house on Bleasdale Avenue. According to an affidavit, witnesses saw Smith arrive to the house with a group of armed men and shoot into the home, allegedly targeting another local rapper who lived there.
