Who is rapper Jack Harlow? 4 things about ESPN's CollegeGameDay guest picker

Jack Harlow is coming back to Columbus.

The rapper will serve as ESPN's College GameDay's first guest picker of the 2022 season before No. 2 Ohio State football's season opener against No. 5 Notre Dame Saturday night.

"I'll see you there," Harlow said in a tweet announcing he was the first guest picker of the season after Columbus natives Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun of the band Twenty One Pilots selected games before the Michigan State game in 2021.

Here are four things to know about Harlow before he picks games on Ohio State's campus Saturday morning.

Jack Harlow, ESPN's CollegeGameDay guest picker for Ohio State/Notre Dame, is a Louisville native

The 24-year-old rapper was born in Louisville, Kentucky — three hours from Ohio State University and four hours from Notre Dame's campus.

Harlow is a University of Louisville fan, and appeared on College GameDay in 2020 before the Cardinals took on Miami.

Jack Harlow sold out The Basement in 2019

Harlow had Columbus as a stop on his "The Mission" tour in Nov. 26, 2019 in which he played a solid-out show at The Basement.

He also played Express Live in 2018 opening for Portugal. The Man.

Columbus is not a stop on Harlow's current tour, but plays Cincinnati Sept. 5.

Jack Harlow is a Grammy-nominated rapper

Harlow was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2022.

He was nominated for "Best Melodic Rap Performance" for the song "Industry Baby" along with rapper Lil Nas X. Harlow was also honored as part of Lil Nas X's "Album of the Year" nomination for his record "Montero," falling short in both categories to Kanye West's "Hurricane" and Jon Batiste's record "We Are."

In 2021, Harlow earned his first Grammy nomination for "Best Rap Performance" for his song "Whats Poppin," which lost to Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce's "Savage Remix."

Jack Harlow shined at the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

The rapper turned heads on the basketball court in February when he took part in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game.

Harlow put on a clinic from the 3-point line playing for NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins' team along with Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett.
