Local10.com and TMZ said a shooting, across from the Trump International Beach Resort, was the result of an argument between two groups of rappers.

Another person suffered non-life threatening injuries at a second and possibly related shooting on a nearby causeway.

Per The Associated Press, Alvaro Zabaleta, spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Police said shots fired at the resort were reported during a call received Sunday at 1:41 p.m. When the Sunny Isles police arrived, they discovered bullet holes had punctured numerous vehicles.

Local 10 says paramedics transported a 19-year-old woman to the hospital, and that her condition is unknown. A news release from the Miami-Dade Police Department identifies the woman as Kaylyn Marie Long and says she was "suffering from an apparent gunshot wound." She was taken to Aventura Hospital.

The Miami Herald quoted witness Anna Rodriguez as saying the patient is the girlfriend of NBA Youngboy, who was scheduled to perform Sunday at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami Gardens.

Rodriguez said she saw the rapper’s girlfriend shot and heard the second shooting. She and several other witnesses told the Herald they saw a fight break out in front of the Trump building.

The Herald and AP report police identified the person who died as 43-year-old Mohammad Jradi. Officials said a 5-year-old was grazed by a bullet.

Witnesses told Local 10 that the man who was killed was an employee of Hertz Rental Car who was caught in the crossfire.

Earlier in the day at the Rolling Loud festival, rapper Kodak Black was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service on weapons charges. And Lil Wayne refused to perform after he says he was subjected to a search by security personnel or police.

USA TODAY has reached out to the Miami-Dade Police Department and Atlantic Records, the label for NBA Youngboy, for comment.
