Rapper Q-Money Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting of Fellow Up-and-Coming Hip Hop Artist

Up-and-coming Ohio rapper Qamar Akee Williams, better known as Q-Money, was arrested in Georgia on Thursday for allegedly shooting and killing fellow aspiring emcee Calvin Alexander Chappell.

Chappell, 24, was fatally shot multiple times with a handgun on Monday. Representatives for the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE that Williams, 23, was arrested without incident and is being held on felony murder charges.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that police arrived at a Decatur home belonging to Chappell’s cousin at 8:30 a.m. local time Monday. There they found Chappell face down, dead from multiple gunshot wounds — including a severe shot to the right side of the head.
