Rapper YG Scores Legal Victory, Vegas Assault Lawsuit Dismissed

Rapper YG will not be heading to trial over an alleged Las Vegas assault, with the alleged victim dropping his lawsuit.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Benjamin Naderi has informed the court he is dismissing all claims against YG (real name: Keenon Jackson).

Last year, Naderi sued YG over an alleged assault went down at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas in May 2018. Naderi claimed he saw the “Big Bank” rapper at the casino. He claimed to ask for a photo but YG refused and became upset.

Rapper YG Won’t Answer Questions About Bloods in Assault Lawsuit

When he went to walk away, Naderi claims he heard the rapper tell his entourage to “get him.”

He said YG’s crew surrounded him and held him down while repeatedly punching him. Naderi then claimed YG walked up and yanked off his gold chain and diamond pendant. He accused the men of then fleeing the scene before anyone responded.

Naderi filed the civil lawsuit seeking unspecified damages. During the court battle, YG said he would plead the fifth and refused to answer questions about the Bloods.

YG was charged with three felonies, including grand larceny and larceny from a person relating to the incident. The grand larceny and robbery charges carry a maximum punishment of 10 years each. The rapper entered a plea of not guilty to all charges. The criminal case is still pending.

The rapper recently made headlines after announcing his new romance with singer Kehlani. The two made their first public appearances during New York Fashion Week.

YG and Kehlani even attended Rihanna’s 5th annual Diamond Ball together. The singer confirmed they were dating by posting more photos on social media.
