Rare pieces of history for sale in C.K. McClatchy estate auction

Rare pieces of California history will be up for sale Wednesday and Thursday as part of the C.K. McClatchy estate auction. McClatchy ran the McClatchy news company, which owns the Sacramento Bee and other newspapers across the U.S. McClatchy died in 1989. His estate has been largely untouched – until now. The live internet auction begins Wednesday morning, with another auction scheduled for Thursday. Among the items for sale are art, furniture, rugs and books.
