Ratings: ‘Batwoman’ Sheds More Viewers, But Levels Off in Key Demo

The CW’s “Batwoman” was steady from Episode 2 to Episode 3 in Nielsen’s ratings for the key adults 18-49 demographic, but the DC show shed another 300,000 total viewers week to week.

“Sunday Night Football” again dominated the primetime airwaves for NBC. Due to the nature of live sports, the below fast-national Nielsen numbers for NBC and Fox (and like 19 minutes of CBS) should be considered subject to significant adjustment.

NBC was first in ratings with a 4.8 rating/21 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 15.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. Those numbers come from the 90-minute pregame show “Football Night in American” and the game itself, which saw the Dallas Cowboys dominate NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fox was second in ratings with a 2.4/10 and in viewers with 7.2 million. After the late-afternoon game’s overrun and postgame show “The OT,” the latest “Treehouse of Horrors” episode from “The Simpsons” at 8 p.m. posted an inflated 2.1/9 and 5.7 million viewers. At 8:30, “Bless the Harts” had a 1.1/5 and 2.9 million viewers. “Bob’s Burgers” at 9 got a 1.1/4 and 2.5 million viewers. At 9:30, “Family Guy” received a 1.2/5 and 2.6 million viewers.

CBS and ABC tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.6/3. CBS was third in total viewers with 6.3 million, ABC was fourth with 4.1 million.

For CBS, “60 Minutes” at 7 had a 0.8/4 and 8.1 million viewers. At 8, “God Friended Me” got a 0.6/3 and 6.4 million viewers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 9 received a 0.7/3 and 6.3 million viewers. At 10, “Madam Secretary” managed a 0.4/2 and 4.5 million viewers.

For ABC, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 7 had a 0.7/3 and 5 million viewers. At 8, “Kids Say the Darndest Things” got a 0.6/3 and 4.2 million viewers. “Shark Tank” at 9 received a 0.6/2 and 3.3 million viewers. At 10, “The Rookie” finished primetime with a 0.6/3 and 3.8 million viewers.

Telemundo and Univision tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.3/1. Telemundo was fifth in total viewers with 1.2 million, Univision was sixth with 1.1 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 931,000. “Batwoman” at 8 had a 0.3/1 and 1.2 million viewers. At 9, “Supergirl” got a 0.2/1 and 904,000 viewers.
