Ravenna rocks second concert in summer series

The second of the Ravenna Rocks Concert Series was held Saturday night in downtown Ravenna. It was part of a series of concerts sponsored by the Ravenna Area Chamber of Commerce on the first Saturday of each month through October. Ryann Kuchenbecker, executive director of the chamber, said the goal of the concert series is to represent every genre of music and bring the community together.

Michael McFarland, a native of Kent who now lives in the Cleveland area, was the headline performer with Jeremy Taugner as the opening act. Leeda Northeast hosted a series of family friendly yard games, such as Jenga, Connect 4 and Yard Darts and other vendors set up along the block.

The next concert is scheduled for Sept. 3.
