Ravens left tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerback Jimmy Smith are inactive for Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at M&T Bank Stadium.

Stanley, who made his first start in the season-opening 33-27 overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders since his season-ending ankle injury in November, and Smith (ankle) did not practice this week. Both were listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Defensive end Derek Wolfe (back/hip), rookie outside linebacker Daelin Hayes (knee) and defensive tackle Broderick Washington are also inactive.

Wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (ankle), who did not practice Wednesday and Thursday and was limited Friday, and cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who was limited in practice this week with a back injury, are active.

Veteran Alejandro Villanueva, who struggled in his Ravens debut against the Raiders at right tackle, is expected to fill in for Stanley on the left side, while Patrick Mekari takes over at right tackle. Andre Smith, a 12-year veteran, was elevated to the practice squad Saturday before being named to the active roster.

After the Ravens’ offensive line struggled against the Raiders, the absence of Stanley, as well as left guard Tyre Phillips, who was placed on short-term injure reserve with a knee injury, further complicates things for quarterback Lamar Jackson and the offense.

Smith has played with the Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings during his 12-year NFL career. In 2019, Smith made five starts with the Bengals before joining the Ravens ahead of their divisional-round game against the Tennessee Titans. Smith opted out of the 2020 season because COVID concerns.

With Jimmy Smith out along with Marcus Peters (torn ACL) and Chris Westry (knee), who became the Ravens’ 15th player placed on injured reserve earlier this week, the Ravens’ available cornerbacks are Humphrey, Anthony Averett, Tavon Young Brandon Stephens and Kevon Seymour, who was promoted from the practice squad Saturday.

Averett, who has started eight games in his four-year career, will be making his first start against the Chiefs. Young is playing in his second straight game after missing all but two games in 2020 with a knee injury. Seymour has played for the Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles through the first three seasons of his career.
