The Baltimore Ravens drafted center Tyler Linderbaum with the 25th pick in the 2022 NFL draft. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson sent out a cryptic tweet not too long after the Linderbaum pick was announced, causing a stir throughout the NFL world. There were plenty of narratives about what Jackson could have meant by his tweet, and many created ideas what it was in reference to.

However, after the fact Jackson sent out another tweet clarify what he meant. He made it clear that his tweet was not about the selection of Linderbaum.

Center was a position of need after Bradley Bozeman signed with the Carolina Panthers, so the Linderbaum pick helps solidify the offensive line. The selection of the former Hawkeye will help Jackson stay upright in the pocket and have time to go through his progressions to showcase his elite talent.

The Ravens traded Marquise Brown, a 1,000-yard receiver last season, for the 25th pick in which they chose Linderbaum.

General manager Eric DeCosta said the trade was at Brown's request.

“Marquise came to me after the season and requested that he be traded,” DeCosta told the Associated Press. “Was not happy, and wanted to play elsewhere.”

The Ravens selected Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton with the 14th pick in the draft Thursday night. That was their original first-round pick. Around the same time, they announced the trade sending Brown and a third-rounder to Arizona for the 23rd pick. Then Baltimore sent the 23rd pick to Buffalo for the 25th pick and a fourth-rounder.
