The Baltimore Ravens selected eight players in the 2021 NFL draft, addressing key needs while also netting themselves talented prospects. Baltimore announced that wide receiver Rashod Bateman, their first draft pick, officially signed his rookie contract with the team.

Jamison Hensley of ESPN shed some light on what the financial numbers are on Bateman’s contract, detailing that the deal will be a four-year, $12.6 million contract with a $6.5 million signing bonus.

Bateman is now officially a member of the Ravens’ organization, and he’ll look to build chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson early and often. It seems likely that the two will be playing together for a long time, assuming Baltimore gets a long-term deal done with Jackson. The former Minnesota pass catcher could be relied on in a big way in 2021, as he was selected by the team in the first round for a reason.
