Rays report: Josh Lowe leading off vs. Reds, Yandy Diaz out

CINCINNATI — Coming off Friday’s frustrating loss on a walkoff balk, the Rays are looking to rebound Saturday afternoon against the Reds.

Facing hard-throwing Hunter Greene, the Rays moved rookie Josh Lowe to the top of the order again. Also of note, Yandy Diaz, amid a 12-game hitting streak in what he said is the best stretch of his career, is off today.

Drew Ramussen will be on the mound for the Rays. His previous trips to Great American Ball Park had been interesting — a rough 2020 relief outing for the Brewers in which he gave up two home runs, and a 2021 visit during which he and JP Feyereisen learned they were traded to the Rays.
