RD Productions announces 2022 concert lineup in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY — Rob Helms and his company, RD Productions, LLC, will bring more than 20 concerts to Morgan County in 2022.

This year's lineup includes Grammy Award winners, tribute bands and local acts taking the stage at locations throughout Morgan County.

Martinsville, Mooresville weather: Snow, rain expected to hit Morgan County beginning Tuesday night.

Morgan County Pre-Fair Concert

For many, the highlight of the 2022 lineup will be the Morgan County Pre-Fair Concert on Saturday, June 18 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, 1749 Hospital Drive.

The pre-fair concert will feature country music artists Diamond Rio, Lonestar and Trace Adkins as well as local artist Rose O'Neal and Bigg Country.

Tickets go on sale beginning on April 2 at Greg Hubler Chevrolet, 13895 Ind. 67, Camby.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day at the dealership, tickets will be sold at a 25% discount.

At 2 p.m. that day, tickets will go on sale at greghublerchevy.com and wcbk.com.

Advance platinum tickets will be sold for $100, advance gold tickets for $50 and advance silver tickets will be sold for $25.

Drink at the Creek Concert Series

Helms and Cedar Creek Winery, Brewing Company and Distillery, 380 Leonard Rd., Martinsville, will bring back the Drink at the Creek Concert Series starting May 7.

This year's lineup include:

  • May 7 — Paven & Direct Contact, Son De Esquina

  • May 14 — Resurrection (Journey tribute), Fancy Sauce

  • May 21 — 7 Bridges (Eagles tribute), The Boys in the Band (Alabama tribute)

  • May 28 — Thunderstruck (AC/DC tribute), The Classic Rock Experience

  • June 11 — Boy Band Review, Dream Slice

  • June 25 — Henry Lee Summer, Mellencouger (John Mellencamp tribute)

  • July 9 — Back 2 Mac (Fleetwood Mac tribute), Those Damn Torpedoes (Tom Petty tribute)

  • July 23 — Toy Factory, JAMBOX

  • Aug. 6 — Earth to Mars (Bruno Mars tribute), Soul Street

  • Aug. 27 — Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute), Eliminator (ZZ Top tribute)

  • Sept. 3 — The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute, An Innocent Band (Billy Joel tribute), Duke Tumatoe, Jennie Devoe (Part of the Country, Rockin', Blues Fest)

  • Sept. 4 — Kid Kentucky (Kid Rock tribute) Bigg Country, Gene Deer & Gordon Bonham, The Phil Pierle Trio (Part of the Country, Rockin', Blues Fest)

  • Oct. 1 — Beatles vs. Stones, Dean Martini

  • Oct. 8 — Hairbangers Ball, The Big 80s.

Most concerts in the series will begin at 5 p.m.

The exception is the Country, Rockin' BLues Fest on Sept. 3 and 4, which will begin at 2 p.m.

Mooresville Free Summer Concert Series at Pioneer Park

This year's concert series at Mooresville's Pioneer Park, 1101 Indianapolis Rd., will begin on May 20.

  • June 3 — Back in the Day

  • June 24 — Jayne Bond and the Pink Martinis

  • July 8 — Payton Collier and the Candleburners

  • July 22 — Tastes Like Chicken

Concerts will begin at 7 p.m.

Martinsville Downtown Free Concert Series

There will also be free music in downtown Martinsville starting May 26.

This year's acts include:

  • May 26 — Stella Luna and the Satellites

  • June 9 — Atom Heart Mother (Pink Floyd tribute)

  • June 23 — Big Rosco and the Hammers

  • July 7 — Main Street, The Isaac Family Band

  • July 21 — Bigg Country

Concerts will begin at 7 p.m.

July 4 entertainment stages

On July 4, RD Productions will put on two concerts in Morgan County — one at Jimmy Nash City Park, 360 N. Home Ave., Martinsville, and the other at Pioneer Park.

The Jimmy Nash concert will begin at 5 p.m. and include acts such as Tastes Like Chicken, Blue River, GrooveSmash and Austin James.

The Pioneer Park concert will start at 6 p.m. and include Bigg Country, The Filter Kings and Virtue.

Rockin' Out at Pioneer Park

There will also be a concert on Sept. 24 at Pioneer Park featuring Absolute Queen (Queen tribute) and The Ultimate Def Leppard Tribute.

The concert will start at 6 p.m.

Toy Drive Concert

To wrap up the year, RD Productions will host the Toy Drive Concert at Hoosier Harvest Church, 4085 Leonard Rd., Martinsville on Saturday, Nov. 20.

This year's acts for the concert include The Isaac's, DownPour and Trenton Baker.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
