Unlike football, many picked the Georgia Bulldogs to finish last in the Southeastern Conference for the 2021-22 men's college basketball season.

Nonetheless, Saturday night's game against UGA was the highlight of the Cincinnati Bearcats' home non-conference schedule, and a win against an SEC school is a win against an SEC school.

UC improved to 2-0 this season with the 73-68 win against the Bulldogs at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats shot just 40 percent from the field compared with UGA's 48.1 percent, but attempted 16 more shots than the Bulldogs - thanks in part to outrebounding them 40-31.

The Bearcats' student section chanted, "Let's play foot-ball!"

Social media reactions to UC's five-point win, including the American Athletic Conference men's basketball Twitter account suggesting that it will be rooting for the Bearcats if they face Georgia in another sport in a few weeks:
