The Cincinnati Bengals played most of the night without star receiver Tee Higgins. They came away without any points late in the third quarter despite a 1st-and-goal, and an animated discussion between head coach Zac Taylor and offensive tackle La'el Collins followed after Collins appeared to miss a blocking assignment on the 4th-down shovel-pass play.

Nevertheless, the Bengals took a 17-16 lead late in the fourth quarter on quarterback Joe Burrow's 1-yard sneak and Evan McPherson's too-close-for-comfort extra point.

But they left too much time for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and Justin Tucker made a 43-yard field goal to win it 19-17 as time expired.

All three of their losses this season have come on walk-off field goals.
