Reactions: Four Joe Burrow turnovers hurt Bengals in first half against Pittsburgh
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw three interceptions and lost a fumble in an ugly first half of Sunday's season-opening loss in overtime to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium.
Minkah Fitzpatrick's pick-6 of Burrow on the Bengals' second offensive play left Cincinnati with an early deficit. Later in the first half, burrow was intercepted by T.J. Watt and Cameron Sutton.
The Bengals also lost star receiver Tee Higgins for most of the second quarter and maybe more, as Higgins' return to the game was questionable after a hit by the Steelers' Terrell Edmunds.
"Joe Burrow ... looks completely out of sync," former Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason said on CBS at halftime.
Social media reactions:
This is the worst half I've seen from Joe Burrow.
Two unforced errors on plays where he tried to force the ball down the field and got picked off. That's the worst mistake you can make.— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) September 11, 2022

Joe Burrow is the 2nd QB in the last 20 seasons to turn it over 4+ times in the 1st half of the season opener (Josh Allen in 2019 vs the Jets) pic.twitter.com/ejd2X6MCWa

An observation as I leave the #Bengals locker room, since his postgame press conference, Joe Burrow has sat at his locker room in silence. Granted I was not in the locker room last year due to COVID, I would say that’s pretty telling about how QB1 is taking this loss today

Looking at Joe Burrow’s four picks.
1. Burrow had four open wide receivers and threw the ball into Minkah Fitzpatrick’s zone and into double coverage pic.twitter.com/Lg4DQG4MQu— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) September 12, 2022
