Full text of the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill released

WASHINGTON – The Senate has released the preliminary full text of the $2 trillion stimulus plan to blunt the economic effects of the coronavirus.

The bill is the largest economic stimulus package yet from Congress to fight the coronavirus.

The bill would include one-time payments of $1,200 per adult and $500 per child, $367 billion for small businesses, $500 billion for loans to larger industries, $100 billion for hospitals and the health care system, and $600 more per week in unemployment benefits for those out of work.

If the Senate passes the bill Wednesday, it goes to the House for its approval.
