Readers' Touching, Beautiful, Amazing Moments While Staying Home

TAMPA BAY, FL — We asked Tampa Bay Patch readers to send us photos of what they've been doing during the coronavirus stay-at-home orders.

Displaying human beings' incredible ability to adapt in the worst of circumstances, readers responded by posting breath-taking glimpses of nature, amazing signs of spring and touching moments with family, kids and pets.

Mandy Saharic and Amanda Kammarada, both of Land O' Lakes, spent some time creating chalk art on their driveways while John Thompson discovered a whimsical mural in New Tampa.

Kammarada and New Port Richey resident Shannon Laporte also came upon some springtime baby bunnies. Andrea Turnel of Land O' Lakes made the most unusual springtime baby discovery yet in her Bexley neighborhood — a nest of baby alligators.

Sue Vogel of Land O' Lakes, Robin Belber Valvert of Tarpon Springs, Kelly Khorsandian of Land O' Lakes, Crytal Huners of Palm Harbor, Darlene M. Dormer Schueler of Palm Harbor, Dennnise Christie of Tarpon Springs and Heather McFadden Russell of Tarpon Springs captured blooms of spring.

Alicia Stevenson, Dana Krapfl and Lisa Forsythe, all of Land O' Lakes, recorded some close encounters with nature.

Kelly Matthew of Land O' Lakes joked that she was social distancing from her neighbors — cows.

Trina Davis and Niki Stamos Klimis, Heather McFadden Russell, all of Tarpon Springs, and Debbie Stephens Manning of New Port Richey stepped out for some fresh air, capturing breath-taking photos of sunsets over the ocean while Susan Sandbury of Tarpon Springs got back to nature at James E. Grey Preserve, Sandra Pitman Evans of Palm Harbor captured the moonlight over the water at Anderson Park, Nikki Mandas Christu of Tarpon Springs caught a quiet moment in the evening on the Bayou Walk and Erin Griffith photographed a pink-hued sunset over the 10th hole at the Plantation Palms golf course.

LouAnn Manetta Cyrana of Palm Harbor contemplated reflections on a pond as Kasey Wernke of New Tampa ventured out for some quiet reflections of her own in a canoe.

Land O' Lakes grandmother Dolca Gonzalez-Rios caught a precious moment as grandsons laid in identical positions on the lawn, looking up at the sky. And Dani Adams of Land O' Lakes captured her son's goofy antics. And Gail Casey of Safety Harbor reminded us of the most important thing in life — family.

Thank you for sharing your photos.
