Reading Eagle: Kutztown teen is hoping to find a Big Sister [Child of the Month]
May 18—Meet Hunter, the May Little of the Month.
Hunter is a 13-year-old living in Kutztown who is looking to be matched with a Big Sister. He would benefit greatly from having a positive, outgoing role model in his life to stand with him to defend his potential.
Hunter is interested in plants, crystals, magic and volleyball. He also enjoys hanging out with friends.
----Hunter is looking for someone to spend one-on-one time with him. He wants someone who will encourage his interests and inspire his potential; someone he can trust and rely on; someone who will listen when he wants to talk. Are you that someone?

For more than 50 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has provided quality-driven mentoring programs to Berks County youth facing adversity. We do not create potential, because every child has it. Our staff and volunteers are there to ignite their potential and empower our Littles to reach that potential.
For as little as 12 hours per year (as a COUL Big) up to an average of 8-10 hours per month (as a One-To-One Big), you can make a difference in a child's life.
Qualifications for a Big Brother or Big Sister include being at least 19 years old, residing in Berks County, possessing a valid driver's license, having a good driving history and auto insurance that meets the current liability standards, being gainfully employed, economically self-sufficient or a full-time college student, and being willing to complete the entire application process in its entirety.
Activities that Bigs do with Littles may include hiking, cooking, gardening, sports, movies, bike riding, shopping and day trips. The possibilities are endless! Spending money is not necessary. The value is in the time spent playing, working, and talking together.
