Reading sports-talk radio station is sold

Sep. 27—Berks County's sports-talk station has been sold.

According to a report at radioinsight.com, WIOV-AM, which broadcasts at 1240 AM and simulcasts at 98.5 FM, has been sold by Cumulus Media to Major Keystone LLC, which is owned by Andrea and Patrick "DJ Grooves" Cerullo.

Major Keystone also owns Reading's W257DI-FM, better known as hip-hop station Loud 99.3.

WIOV-FM, which broadcasts country music, was not part of the deal.

The report says that Major Keystone will pay $179,500 for a package of radio stations that include:

— WARM-AM, Scranton.

— WTKZ-AM, Allentown.

— WGLD-AM/W296EA-FM, York.

WIOV-AM is an affiliate of CBS Sports Radio, and broadcasts Alvernia University football. All stations in the purchase have a sports-talk format.
