Hundreds of thousands of metalheads and rock fans will be in Daytona Beach for the next three days.
The “Welcome to Rockville” concert series is underway and already packing fans into the speedway.
The first bands hit the stage around 2:30 p.m. Friday.
It’s the second time the four-day event has been to the area in just the last eight months.
This year’s event features KISS, Korn, Guns N’ Roses and Papa Roach.

Androse Bell of The Daytona Beach Hard Rock Hotel- the official hotel of the event- says fans started booking rooms for the event as soon as it was announced.
Bell says those fans are booking from all over the world, and he expects the 200+ room hotel to be full for the weekend.
“It’s really good again for our market and our local businesses,” Bell said. “To get exposed to people who haven’t really come to Daytona from states that don’t really travel here.”
The USA Judo Senior National Championships are also being held in Daytona Beach over the weekend, bringing another 300 athletes, their fans, and families to the area.
