Ready, set, shop. Northeast Ohio stores set hours for Black Friday shoppers
For some, it is a chance to grab a cheap big screen TV.
For others, it is a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping.
Either way, Black Friday is a busy time for Greater Akron retailers.
Things have changed over the years.
Pretty much gone are the days of scarfing down the turkey and all the fixings and hitting the stores Thanksgiving night.
Most retailers in Greater Akron have continued the recent trend of closing on Thanksgiving Day and opening bright and early on Black Friday.
The Summit Mall in Fairlawn and the Aurora Farms outlet mall in Aurora are both closed Thanksgiving Day and will reopen at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.
On Black Friday, shoppers can stop at GetGo stations for a free coffee all day with a Giant Eagle advantage card.
Shoppers can get a free doughnut at Giant Eagle and Market District locations until 10 a.m.

Big Lots: stores open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday
Macy's stores: will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday
Kohls: stores will open at 5 a.m. Friday
Dick's Sporting Goods: stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday
Gabes: stores open at 6 a.m. and close at 11 p.m.
Home Depot: store hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday
Lowe's: store hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday
Marcs: stores will open at 7 a.m. Friday
Meijer: Open Thanksgiving Day and reopens at 6 a.m. Friday
Office Depot and OfficeMax: stores open regular hours Friday
Old Navy: store hours 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Ollie's: stores open at 5 a.m.
Staples: store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday
Target: is closed on Thanksgiving and will open at 6 a.m. Friday and close at their regular time
TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday
Ulta Beauty: stores open at 6 a.m.
Victoria's Secret: stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Walmart: stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Black Friday
World Market: stores open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
