'The Real Friends of WeHo' Is Already Being Called 'Fake'

MTV’s The Real Friends of WeHo has caused quite a stir since its announcement.

Although marketing itself as an “unfiltered and honest look at a select group of friends living, loving, and pursuing their passions in the West Hollywood community,” some people — including Dorión Renaud, a cast member of the series — are labeling it “fake” ahead of the series premiere.

Renaud, the CEO of Buttah Skincare, took to his Instagram Stories recently where he wrote, “The Fake Friends of WEHO. And I barely know most of these people. Btw I live in The Valley.”

Underneath, he wrote, “But tune in thanks @mtv.”

It didn’t stop there, with Renaud taking to Twitter to both say “Buttahh Skin is my only Real Friend lol” and “Chile… I don’t know these people.”

But Renaud is far from the only person to call out The Real Friends for being anything but.

Eating Out actor Chris Salvatore took to Twitter and inferred he’d been fired from the show, tweeting, “Last year, 3 gays from a certain reality show refused to film with me for having an OF so I was fired by production after filming for only a week. That’s about all I can say… for now.”

He closed the tweet with an emoji covering its mouth, and while he didn’t call out The Real Friends by name, comments on his tweet showered him with support and called the show a “flop” already.

After some pushback, Salvatore doubled down on his stance and tweeted, “Literally never worked with more awful people,” as well as, “But I will leave you with this. The one that called me to apologize… err I mean further criticize and gaslight also had sent me his nudes a few years back.”

He captioned that tweet with a Rick & Morty GIF saying, “Do you not see the hypocrisy here?”

Ouch.
