Sonja Morgan reveals what she needs from a man, and what Luann de Lesseps should look for

From The Real Housewives of New York to Crappie Lake and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, fan favourite reality star Sonja Morgan has now brought her energetic, hysterical personality to Canada.

In advance of Ultimate Girls Trip, premiering on Dec. 14, available to stream on Hayu in Canada Dec. 15, Morgan's "Sonja in Your City" tour is in Toronto on Nov. 16, with an option to purchase a ticket with a meet and greet after the show.

"That's when I really turn it up," Morgan told Yahoo Canada. ""Because after the show's done, then I can party, I go back to the green room after meeting some people, and sometimes we end up back at my suite."

"Expect the unexpected because I'm improv, I don't do scripted."

But while the Toronto show is next on the list, Morgan is quick to share her love for Montreal in particular.

"I love Montreal, ... it's still very old world with the French language," Morgan said.

Differences between what Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps need from a man

While Morgan has a reputation for attracting really any man that walks into a room, including Owen Wilson, things are a bit different these days with the star notably dating a man referred to as the "viking" for six months now. That means she was off the table in terms of hookups during Ultimate Girls Trip in St. Barts.

"That's why we go to St. Barts, to get laid," Morgan said. "I didn't have to get laid this time because I'm actually seeing someone."

"I haven't been able to see him very much because he lives out on Long Island and I'm in Manhattan in the house, and when I'm not in the house I'm traveling, so I miss him. We'll see what happens."

But looking back at Benton, Illinois, during Crappie Lake, Morgan revealed she was particularly popular with the locals.

"When I was in Crappie Lake of course I got laid, I was there two minutes," Morgan said.

"I mean, those are real men down there and they have a beautiful fire station full of fantastic guys. But having said that, most everyone in Benton is married already, there's nothing else to do, get married and stay married. [Luann de Lesseps] didn't get lucky and then I felt bad, but tune into Ultimate Girls Trip."

When it comes to her co-star Luann de Lesseps' love life, Morgan has some thoughts on what her friend really needs to look for in a romantic partner.

"This is the thing with Luann, she likes a lifestyle," Morgan said. "I am living out of a suitcase, I could care less, I'm more interested in being with an artist and just getting serviced, completely, all the time."

"She really needs to look at someone that could provide a lifestyle, and if that means having a yacht and a plane or whatever, fine. I don't want any of those things. I want a cottage, a hammock, a book and someone who's able to travel. And if they live in a tax free state, even better. So all you Wyoming boys, here I am."

'My daughter is a Libra and she's basically a diplomat'

Throughout the years, we've also gotten to see Morgan's daughter Quincy, who largely stayed off the show, but the 23-year-old has given us more of a glimpse into her life on social media in recent years.

"When she went public with Instagram, we discussed it together because she is behind the scenes, working in finance, and it's very tricky to know how to navigate Instagram," Morgan said. "I think she learned that from me."

"People know me as the boozy floozy on the show, have a good time, keep the peace if you can. I do get dramatic, but usually it's self deprecating, or in defence of someone else. My daughter is a Libra and she's basically a diplomat. So I was nervous about the Instagram thing, but she's handling it really well. She actually gets booked by fashion brands to do appearances at their stores. She does a look of the day, she graduated [University of Pennsylvania] summa cum laude. ... She's been a straight A student since 18 months. She couldn't walk at 18 months, but she could boss us around. ... Constantly reading books."

Morgan added that her daughter is the love of her life, particularly following her divorce, but added that Bravo has been "very good" to her in terms of raising her daughter.

Sonja Morgan is an 'authentic' Housewife

One thing that is absolutely consistent with Morgan is that, whether she's selling toaster ovens, doing her charity work with The Trevor Project, live improv shows or reality TV, we'll also love her.

"My producers always tell me I'm the realest Housewife," Morgan said. "I was just ... in Costa Rica doing my juicing and colonics, ... and I met this guy and he told me you need to do this [ChatGPT], so I put in there, 'Why is Sonja Morgan a fan favourite?' ... and right away it said, 'She's authentic and an unusual quirky sense of humour.'"

"They resonate with me. They feel like we live the same life, even though I have big parties and go to Fashion Week and live in a townhouse."
