We talked to the pioneering visual effects studio Weta Digital about why realistic talking animals are so difficult to create for movies and TV, and how Weta has tackled this challenge. Speaking to Weta VFX supervisor Eric Saindon and animation supervisor Mike Cozens, we learn about the various challenges of making digital animals speak on screen.
