The Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale Aug. 11 – 13

Think thousands of books – every genre, every age, every interest. You will find them this weekend at McAlister Square at the Greenville Literacy Association’s Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale.

Malissa Hawkins is the organization’s bookroom co-director. She and a team of volunteers work all year to sort, clean and price books that are donated all across Greenville County.

“We are reliant on the community for their ongoing dedication in bringing in donations,” Hawkins said. “That’s our lifeblood.”

With well over 100,000 books available at the sale, there will be something for everyone. Prices range from 50 cents to $5, generally, though some special books are priced higher. Most are priced at $1 each. On Sunday, shoppers can fill a reusable shopping bag, donated by Truliant Federal Credit Union, for $15.
