The "queen of country" is coming to the Coachella Valley and some iconic local buildings are temporarily turning the color of the artist's iconic hair to celebrate.

Acrisure Arena announced Monday that Reba McEntire will be performing at the new venue on Friday, March 31. Canadian country singer Terri Clark and southern bluegrass family quartet The Isaacs will open the show.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday at Ticketmaster.com.

The arena also teased in the announcement that several iconic buildings around the Coachella Valley will be "flooded in red lights" each night this week as the valley is “painted red for Reba”’ ahead of tickets going on sale. The locations that will be illuminated in red are the Kimpton Rowan hotel in downtown Palm Springs, Cathedral City Hall, the Rancho Mirage Library and Palm Desert City Hall.

McEntire, who is considered one of the most successful female artists in history, is the latest addition to a growing slate of concerts planned for the arena's first few months that already includes The Eagles, Jimmy Buffett and Maroon 5.

Arena job fairs start Monday and run through October

As Acrisure Arena gets closer to opening in December, it is also hosting a series of job fairs starting on Monday, Oct. 3. The arena says it is hoping to fill 1,000 part-time positions with workers starting in November.

The fairs are being held at several locations in the Coachella Valley.

Applicants are encouraged to apply for job positions ahead of attending the events on the Acrisure Arena website at acrisurearena.com/connect/careers, according to a webpage announcing the job fairs. A spokesman for the arena said he believed that candidates would also be able to apply for jobs at the fairs, where initial job interviews will be held.

The roles to be filled include ushers, parking attendants, ticket agents and jobs in food service and catering, security, housekeeping and guest services. The arena notes that many of the positions start at $20 an hour and that new positions are being added weekly.

“We’re looking for passionate, hardworking individuals, who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, to join our growing team,” said John Bolton, the arena's general manager in the announcement. “This is an exciting opportunity to work in the live events industry and be a part of the Acrisure Arena’s inaugural opening team.”
