An Oklahoma fire crew had to come to the rescue of Reba McEntire.

The country music superstar had to be evacuated on a fire ladder from a second-story window Tuesday afternoon in downtown Atoka.

The close call was captured on video and broadcast on News12 KXII.

“We were just touring the building and the stairwell was weak but we did not realize how weak it was until several people had gone down it and then we heard the crash and saw the stairs fall,” Coby Scherrill told the outlet.

“Oh it was pretty scary. I was worried about who was downstairs and how bad it was,” added Scherrill, who was touring a historic building with McEntire for a future project.

According to Atoka Emergency Management Director Travis Mullins, the stairwell collapsed from the second story to the third, falling onto the stairwell from the first to the second floor, and trapping people on whatever floor they were on at the time.

The building is reportedly over 100 years old.

“It opened our eyes to see exactly just how unsturdy they was and when they did collapse we see what little was holding them up,” Mullins added.

He said one person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

“While my team and I were in Atoka, OK yesterday checking out an old historical building, a staircase collapsed,” the 66-year-old Grammy Award winner wrote on Twitter Wednesday afternoon. “Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. We were safely evacuated from the building thanks to the quick response from the Atoka fire and police departments.”
