Recall: Florida man’s protein powder with no dairy, no soy, no gluten might have plastic

Peace, protein powder and plastic came together in a nationwide not-food-in-your-food recall of one lot of Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein.

The protein powder “may contain hard plastic foreign material which could pose a choking hazard,” stated the FDA-posted recall notice by manufacturer Select Custom Solutions.

Select Custom Solutions is out of Wisconsin, but the powder is sold under the brand of Palm Beach County’s Jay Robb, who calls himself “The G.O.P. (Guru of Peace).” Robb and wife Beth Robb run Jay Robb Enterprises out of North Palm Beach, according to state records.
