Here’s a recap of metro-east baseball games from Wednesday and Thursday

The metro-east baseball season continued with several games from Monday and Tuesday.

Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.

Triad 7, Wheaton Warrenville South 0

The Knights, coming off a 4-0 win against Murphysboro, coasted to a seven run victory over the Tigers.

Triad improved to 6-2. Wheaton fell to 2-2.

Brady Coon and Nic Funk led Triad with 2 hits and 1 RBI each. Austin Brown had 10 strikeouts in a shutout performance, while earning the win.

Wesclin 5, Red Bud 2

The Warriors got by the Musketeers with a 3-run victory.

Wesclin improved to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the Illinois Division of the Cahokia Conference, while Red Bud fell to 2-3, 0-1.

Harrison Rakers led Wesclin with 2 htis and 1 RBI. Evan Wessel won the game, allowing just one run in 6 innings.

O’Fallon improved to 6-1. Mater Dei, coming off a 14-0 win against Civic Memorial, fell to 3-3.

Connor Blue and Dane Hrasky led the way with 2 hits and 1 RBI for O’Fallon. Blue had 10 strikeouts and allowed just the 1 tally in the win.

Mascoutah 9, Collinsville 3

The Indians rolled by the Kahoks in a six-run victory.

Mascoutah improved to 6-1 while Collinsville, coming off a 10-0 win against Granite City, fell to 3-3.

David Hedley led Mascoutah with 1 hit and 3 RBI. Collinsville was led by CJ Schaaf with 3 hits and 1 RBI.

Landon Moore earned the win with 5 shutout innings.

The Redbirds coasted to a 3-run victory over the Wildcats.
