Former Browns receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was not asked about his dramatic departure from Cleveland in his introductory press conference with the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.

But hours later, Beckham penned a handwritten thank you note to "Believeland," which mentioned his coaches and teammates, including close friend Jarvis Landry, co-owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam, the entire front office and support staff, and the devoted fans.

To his teammates he wrote, "Yall boys are 4 lifers with me!!! Mean that from my soul."

To the fans, he said, "Through all the ups and downs, injuries and rehab, I am forever grateful to have played in front of some of the greatest fans ever. Dawg Pound I thank you for embracing me and showing me so much LOVE!"

A passage including a message to Landry, "My Brother Juice," whom he met when he was 16 and played with at Louisiana State University.

"We have been blessed to have played together at the highest levels," Beckham wrote to Landry. "Thank you for always pushing me to be the best man and player that I can be. You're Truly a Gift from GOD."

Beckham concluded, "I know God's Plan Never Fails. With LOVE and Gratitude." OBJ

Spending a tumultuous 2½ years with the Browns after a March 2019 trade from the New York Giants, Beckham's time with the Browns ended after his father posted a video on Instagram the morning of Nov. 2, hours before the NFL trade deadline. The video showed examples of times when Beckham was open and quarterback Baker Mayfield failed to get him the ball. Los Angeles Lakers star and friend LeBron James followed with a #Free OBJ tweet.

The 4 p.m. deadline passed without a deal, but Beckham was excused from practice the next two days while the Browns negotiated his release.

The Browns announced that decision on Nov. 5 and Beckham was waived by the Browns on Monday. After clearing waivers, he signed a one-year, incentive-laden contract with the Rams Thursday.
