William Jeffrey Jones will play a recital April 25 that highlights the orchestral color of a pipe organ built in the 1920s. His program is part of the Tuesday Noon Recital Series at First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St., Johnstown. Its renovated Skinner organ has 3,000 pipes.

Jones is the minister of music and organist at First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. His program includes works by contemporaries Dan Locklair, composer in residence at Wake Forest University, and Daniel Gawthrop, a Mid-Westerner who describes his style as “romantic.” Also represented in the recital will be Ennio Morricone, an Italian film and organ composer, and Louis-James Alfred Lefebure-Wely, a Parisian composer noted for development of the French symphonic organ style.
