Portion of I-43 to close for installation of electric transmission line: ATC — a Wisconsin-based company that owns and operates more than 10,000 miles of electric transmission lines and approximately 580 substations in portions of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Illinois — says it has secured permission from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to close a section of Interstate 43 for ATC and its construction crews to install a new electric transmission line that will cross the interstate.

The work will be done on an 8.5-mile stretch of I-43 between the intersection of I-43 and State 42 in Sheboygan County and the intersection of I-43 and County XX in Manitowoc County.
