Record 32 Films Qualify for Best Animated Feature Oscar

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released the list of 32 animated films that have qualified for consideration for the 2020 Best Animated Feature Oscar.

Leading the list is Disney’s upcoming “Frozen II,” the sequel to the 2013 hit film that won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Original Song. Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” the sequel to the Animated Feature-winning and Best Picture nominated “Toy Story 3” also made the list, as did DreamWorks’ “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World,” the final installment of a trilogy whose two previous installments were nominated in the animated category.
