‘Red Bucket Day’ raises awareness of human trafficking in Kern Friday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In an effort to raise awareness about human trafficking in Kern County “Project Rescue” will host its 10th Annual “Red Bucket Day” this Friday.

To donate, you can stop by the Sully’s Chevron on Coffee Road — across from Trader Joe’s, Hodel’s restaurant at Olive Drive and Knudsen Drives or right outside the KGET studios — at Compassion Corner at 22nd and L streets.

Just look for the red buckets, stop signs, and tents as volunteers collect donations for the “Kern Coalition Against Human Trafficking.”

If you’re an early riser, you can stop by Compassion Corner on Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and for an $8 donation you’ll get a breakfast burrito!
