Red Cross urges people to donate; donors to receive exclusive T-shirt, chance to win trip

The American Red Cross is looking for people of all blood types to donate blood or platelets as part of National Volunteer Month.

Peanuts Worldwide is partnering with Red Cross to remind people “that it’s cool to be kind and help save lives,” according to a spokesperson for the Red Cross.

It is important to donate blood now and not wait until a crisis arises. To maintain a strong blood supply that can support critical patient care throughout the season, donors of all blood types, including type O blood donors and those giving platelets, are urgently needed.

Those who donate from now until April 23 will get an exclusive Red Cross and Peanuts T-shirt featuring Snoopy as the coolest beagle in town, Joe Cool, while supplies last.

Those who come to give any time during April will be entered for the chance to win a three-night trip for two to Sonoma County, California. The trip includes flights, hotel, a $1,000 gift card, and tours of the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Snoopy’s Home Ice, courtesy of Peanuts Worldwide.
