LAFAYETTE, Louisiana – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns go for their eighth straight win on Wednesday as they host Georgia State in the Cajundome. Louisiana is tied for the ninth-longest winning streak in the nation and won their last seven by 12.6 points per game.

Joe Charles earned LSWA Player of the Week honors for his efforts last week. The junior averaged 17.5 points and 13. rebounds in the team’s wins over ULM and South Alabama. He’s now up to nine double-doubles on the season, third-most in the Sun Belt Conference.

Last time out the Cajuns dominated on the glass in an 80-60 win over South Alabama. Louisiana won the battle on the boards as they outrebounded the Jags 49-30. Charles, Kobe Julien, and Hosana Kitenge each recorded a double-double, becoming the first time since March 6, 2021, that the Cajuns had three players do so in the same game when Theo Akwuba, Dou Gueye, and Mylik Wilson did so against South Alabama.
