Red Putin statue pops up in Central Park
STORY: Children at the playground sprayed water guns at the statue on Tuesday (August 2).
The statue is the work of French artist James Colomina who is known for using red statues and placing them in an unannounced fashion.
The Putin statue has already been seen in Paris's Luxembourg Gardens.
"I think it's a good way to express one's opinion and show the world that there are a lot of people out there not happy about what's happening," said onlooker Maryham Yaacoub.
