Roblox contains a wide world of user-generated games, and while playing is free, in-game upgrades and avatar accessories (as well as a premium membership) will cost you.

But if you have a Roblox gift card, you can use that to pay for the platform's virtual currency, Robux, and take advantage of those extra options.

There are two ways to redeem a Roblox gift card: Applying the balance to your account or using it while checking out. Either way, you'll need to go through a web browser, because these processes are not available on the app.

How to redeem a Roblox gift card by crediting your account

This should only take a minute or so to complete:

1. Go to the Roblox gift card redemption page in a web browser.

2. Log into your account.

3. Enter your gift card PIN and click "Redeem."
   
   

4. You should see a message saying you've successfully had the credit applied to your account. But for those who have trouble and appear to have a one or zero in their gift card code, be aware that you may have to re-enter your code and replace those numbers with either a capital letter "I" or "O."

How to redeem a Roblox gift card during checkout

Once you've decided what you want to buy on either the Membership or Robux page, here's how to use your Roblox gift card to make the purchase:

1. When you see the option to select a payment type, choose "Redeem Roblox Card."

3. Enter your gift card PIN and click "Redeem."
   
   

4. When the balance updates, click "Submit order."

You'll see a confirmation page once you hit submit. Be aware that it may take a few minutes for the upgrades or changes you purchased to be applied to your account.
