Redfield day care provider charged with child abuse
A Redfield day care provider is facing a felony child abuse charge.
Heather Roach, 40, had an initial appearance last week, said Spink County State's Attorney Vic Fischbach. She charged with abuse of or cruelty to a minor for an incident in December 2020, according to court paperwork. Fischbach confirmed that she ran a day care in Redfield.
Bond was set at $10,000. Roach can't have any unsupervised contact with children younger than 18 and she cannot have any contact with the victims as terms of her bond.
Fischbach said he has visited with the involved families and law enforcement but didn't want to speculate on the case as it's an ongoing investigation.
